KONTRAPUNKTUS makes its long awaited return this January with five performances only of our new, glorious production, “THE LONDONERS: An English Baroque Salute.”

Our rare, musical offering spotlights the brilliant artistry of composers who elevated the London music scene in the late 17th and early 18th century through the formation of a unique, scintillating sound that was a fusion of Italian and German musical styles.  This sound would evolve into what became known as Galant music, which attracted young protégés like Mozart to London, and became the precursor for Classical music.

“THE LONDONERS: An English Baroque Salute” will also feature native, iconic Irish and Scottish folk music from that period and is exquisitely comprised of following selections:
